HI!
I went to the store, and walked to the Customer Service desk.
No one was there.
The phone on the desk rang, and rang, and rang.
However, no one came to answer the phone.
So, I answered the phone in a gentle voce,
“Customer Service, how may I help you?”
Lady, “I bought a pair of jeans but I can’t wear them. May I return them?”
Me, “Well, what’s the matter with the jeans?”
Lady, “They hurt my feelings.”
I thought, “Hmmm, they must be to tight!”

God’s Holy Spirit begins working on a
person byconvicting them of sin.
That brings “godly sorrow.”
The words “godly sorrow” refer to the conviction of sin against God.
That conviction leads to prayer!
The prayer of “godly sorrow” is REPENTANCE!
“Lord, please forgive me.”
Now, this “godly sorrow” can occur in a person who has never received Christ as Lord of their life.
In that case, the person feels sorrow for having gone AGAINST God, and seeks to be reconciled with Him, and obtain salvation.
That person has realized that his/her sin has caused Christ to die on the cross because he/she rebelled from Christ being LORD of his/her life.
Those jeans are TOO TIGHT!
This “godly sorrow” can also occur in a person who HAS received Christ as Lord of their life.
In that case, the person feels sorrow for sin and seeks a better relationship with God.
Those jeans are ALSO TOO TIGHT!
In either case, the person is appealing to God for “customer service.”
The Bible tells us, “For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…” (Rom. 3:23)
The only ANSWER for that sin is REPENTANCE!
Turn around!
Get in the “customer service” line through PRAYER!
Ask God to RETURN you to living FOR Him, and not AGAINST Him.
