Two men were arguing about how much
knowledge they had about the Bible.
One said, “I bet you a $1 you can’t even say
the Lord’s Prayer.”
The other said, “Sure I can, “Now I lay me
down to sleep….”
The first one interrupted him and said, “OK!
Here’s your $1. I didn’t believe you knew it!”

9 Pause and wonder!
Blind yourselves and be blind!
They are drunk, but not with wine;
They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink.
10 For the Lord has poured out on you
The spirit of deep sleep,
And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets;
And He has covered your heads, namely, the seers.
11 The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, “Read this, please.”
And he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”
12 Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, “Read this, please.”
And he says, “I am not literate.”
13 Therefore the Lord said:
“Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips,
But have removed their hearts far from Me,
And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,
14 Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people,
A marvelous work and a wonder;
For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.”

Why the Bible for ME?
Why is it the ONE book I should read more than anyother?
No other book has been so widely printed, translated and circulated!
No other book outsells all the other best-sellers year after year by 10 to 1!!
Courtrooms brandish the Bible for sincerity in oaths.
Weddings take much of their content from the Bible for solemnity.
Countless sermons, devotions, lessons and even technical statements are derived from the simple truths of the Bible.
Most folk agree that the Bible is a symbol of TRUTH and SINCERITY!
Yet so few people READ the Bible as God REALLY speaking to THEM!
No other book has been so misused and unused in the world.
But THINK about THIS:
There is NO MIXTURE of ERROR in the Bible!!
Some people make a great “to do” about that.
It ain’t hard to make a mountain of a mole hill; just add a little DIRT!
Ps. 19:7-10 declares the Word of God to be:
“Pure,” “Perfect,” “Sure,” and “Right.”
Even Jesus attested to the Bible’s authenticity.
He said, “…Scripture cannot be BROKEN!”
(John 10:35)
“ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2Tim. 3:16)
WHY the Bible for ME?
Because it is TRUTH from God; and because it will GUIDE you in living FOR God.
