Today’s Devotion:”THERMOSTATS or THERMOMETERS?”

HI!

Have you noticed how it is the LITTLE things
that make a DIFFERENCE?

For instance, the thermometer that is used
when we are ill.
It contains mercury; yet it REFLECTS the
environment around it.

And, the thermostat in the house.
It contains preplanned statements.
Yet, it CONTROLS the environment around it.

_______SCRIPTURE____________

Rom 8:1-2
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them
which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath
made me free from the law of sin and death.
KJV

_______THOUGHT______________

Thermostats control; thermometers reflect.
Let’s apply that thought to our lives.
Wouldn’t you rather be a thermostat?

Of course, thermostats need electricity and
pre-programming statements to do the work
of controlling the environment.

Well, we need both of those in our lives also.

The Bible says, “The law of the Spirit of God is
LIFE in Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 8:2)

We need HIS Spirit to be our electricity, and
HIS Word to be our pre-programmed statements.

First we must surrender our lives to Him, and
then allow Him and His Word to guide our lives.

Then, we study the Word of God to receive
pre-programming of our actions.

Jesus said, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy
Ghost, Whom the Father shall send in my name,
He shall teach you all things, and bring all things
to your remembrance, which I have said unto you.”
(John 14:26)

Let Jesus be your THERMOSTAT!

Love ya!
